I have 2 hydor 1150 powerheads in my 46 gallon bow front . I have 2 small clowns a fire shrimp a cond anemone and some crabs snails. Are these powerheads to powerfull for this tank . The clowns are little tiny guys they seem to love the current but looks a little much for them IMO. And the fire shrimp won't come out of the cave unless it's feeding time . I had the powerheads off for a little bit and the shrimp came out and the clowns were going all over trying to find the current . Bumping the powerheads like what the heck were are my waves lol .
I have currently only been running the one on my back wall on the right side.
My hob skimmer is a reef octopus bh2000.
I don't mind getting new powerheads or placing them different just trying to get some advice.
I will be getting a bigger tank in 6 months to a year .. 150-250 gallon tank .
