48 gallon tank + stand on second floor?

I recently bought a 48 gallon tank along with the associated stand (Reef Octopus Lux 90), but I haven't set it up yet because I originally planned to put it on the second floor and I am now wondering if the floor will be able to hold it. From the research I've done it seems like tanks in this size range can pretty much be placed anywhere, but I don't know if that includes the heavy stand that comes with it. My floors are probably a bit weaker than a 'normal' house's as well since there is a relative lack of structural support to the second floor.

I already have a desk of about 120 lbs on the floor I was planning to put the tank next to. Would this tank size + the stand be fine on the second floor? Or is it better to be cautious and put it elsewhere?

You should be fine as long as you put the tank across perpendicularly to the floor beams. So if your floor beams go horizontally, place your tank vertically to place it on top of as much floor beams as possible to distribute the weight equally.
