Long time lurker and (very) occasional poster - thought it was about time I posted this.

Tank is custom made but standard sized 120cmx45x45 with sump, tank is opti clear.

I am a keep it simple kind of guy and only run some filter floss in the drain, skimmer and return, skimmer is the great value Bubble Magus Curve 5 - return is the Jebao 6500, turned way down. I do have a small carbon reactor but hardly use it.

Lighting is 2xNoopsyche V3, again great value and plenty powerful, no idea what the PAR is, corals seem happy enough. The tank also benefits from natural light, especailly late afternoon for a couple of hours.

In tank water movement is supplied by 2xJebao SLW30's, both running at 30% on the W2 setting - There's also a small Tunze powerhead pulsing low down behind the rock in the corner blowing along the back in an attempt to keep it clean.

Rock is Indonesian Live Rock

I perform a bucket water change every week, that's it - I use Kalk in the top off.

I have had tanks in the past where I was chucking in all sorts of chemicals without really knowing why or testing for what I was adding, so for this one I am keen to stay away from all that and run as natural as possible, so far so good after 12 months - I do have Ca, Alk and Mg if I need to make any notable adjustment, I use Blue Treasure salt.

I am based in Indonesia, and blessed with easy enough access to reasonably priced livestock, premium branded hardware is really expensive though - I suppose you could say this is a 'budget' setup.

Thanks for reading, photos are from Aquarium Cam app, not perfect.
