5.5 Pico Macroalgae Tank: which inverts ?

Hey all, going to start a build thread for my 5.5 pico macroalgae/live rock tank soon but just considering what to put in it. So far maybe one turbo snail, is there anything else that would be happy in this environment? The tank will have a nano surface skimmer for aeration/movement- the UNS delta mini surface skimmer

Nassarius snails bury themselves in the sand and utilize the unused space in the tank. You could add probably 2 if there was enough surface area on the sand after the rock is installed.

For your turbo snail, if it was me, i would consider 1 giant mexican turbo since they eat A LOT of algae and could be the only glass grazer vs a smaller astrea turbo.

I feel like a turbo is too big? Wont smaller animals make the tank look larger? And it will allow room for more variety.

How about sexy shrimp?

Yeah I’m actually no longer using my 5.5 I’m switching some fish around so I now have an empty 10. I felt too restricted with the 5

Yes I do like them they were on my list as well. I am actually going with a 10 gallon for my build and I am doing a reef tank, I’ll document it once I gather the equipment
