So I figured I'd go ahead and post this little namo on this forum because I mean, it is an "experiment" although I like to think of it as "project"... but yeah. Anyways, so I've read and heard on multiple forums, fish stores, reefers etc... that sps (specifically acros) can't or wouldn't thrive in such a small space. Mmmmm I'm here to show ya otherwise I guess... while still gathering information, tips and tricks. So I won't post the mechanics and gadgetry that goes into this tank as it isn't much and could be easily identified in the pics. But if you have any questions about it. Feel free to ask. I am however listing the biology and corals in this tank so here it is. Again I'm not going to name each piece but rather give you guys a species count of each.
14 acros. 5 favia. 5 montis. 2 chalices. 1 cyphastrea. 1 blasto. 1 goni. 1 pectinia. 1 pocillopora. 1 mini maxi nem. 1 tailspot blenny. 1 clown goby. 1 peppermint. 6~ count of astrea/nassarius/hermits... I am currently looking for a few more favia frags to fill up the garden. And maybe a clam or star. Idk yet... there's still plenty of room on the acro island so a few more frags may be added later on lol.
Tank: 5gal
Age: 9months

I'll also add some pics of my other nano because why not lol. And I can't get a good picture of the carpet nem. But it's behind the favia island.

Looks amazing, sweet little tank. Always fun to see somebody challenge the prevailing wisdom and show us what can be done!

Out of curiosity, what's your water change setup for the tank?

Will look forward to seeing how it grows up - thanks for sharing

Beautiful...how do you keep the temperature stable in a 5 gallon and how much does it swing?

Thanks, Temps inside the tank stay at 78 -80... the preset does a good job making sure it doesn't die below that. And the light cooking the tank throughout the day also helps a bit. So Temp swings aren't really an issue. It also stays fairly warm throughout the night.

Super super nice !!! Have any daylight pics ?

I'm starting a 5g sps tank myself.
