I work away from home. 3 weeks on 1 week off. So water changes are only done when I'm at home. 5 gallon Fluval spec running for about 3 months.

Just keeping lps/softie coral and a cuc. No livestock to keep bioload low.

I have microbacter7 and vibrant aquarium cleaner.

When I do a water change do u think it would be an issue to use the low dosage of microbacter7 in conjunction with vibrant?

To help keep my system stable but also help keep it nice and clean while I'm away??

Was wondering because their both bacteria culture products.

Thx

I don’t think you need to do that. Bacteria will grow proportional to the amount of living animals in your tank. I don’t think you can have more bacteria than will adequately sustain life in your tank. Water changes are the way to go combined with minimal feeding to maintain limited nutrients.

Yes I hear what you're saying. Reason I ask is I originally got the microbacter7 to cycle. If you read it on the back there's instructions to dose bi weekly I believe to maintain a positive bacteria culture. So that's what made me think to use it in conjunction with vibrant. Otherwise once people use it to cycle the rest of the bottle is useless

Go for it! You already bought the bottle of the Micro. It won’t hurt anything. If you do decide to add livestock down the road, it will help.

Ya. My biggest concern is adding 2 different bacteria based products which may cause excessive nutrients or something and cause an algae bloom or the vibrant counteracting the microbacter7 which is why I'm asking
