Hey Reefers! I am thinking of upgrading the heater in my 5-gallon reef tank to something a little bit better. It is the lifeguard aquatics AIO so I'm having trouble finding a good heater that could fit in the back compartment. Initially, I was looking at buying a titanium heater with a controller, but they all seem to be too long. Now I am looking at the Aquael 50W "ultra heater" but I'm seeing mixed reviews. The optimal length of the heater would likely be around 6 inches. Do y'all have any suggestions as to what I could use? Would like to have a titanium heater if yall know of any good ones.

Do you want a controllable heater or is static fine? I had trouble finding a controllable one small enough for my 5g AIO back chamber so I bought the Top Fin 20w Betta Heater. It was always meant to be temporary until I could find a controllable one but I haven't found a need to change it. It's tiny and low profile. It keeps mine at a constant 78. I got it from PetSmart.

What is wrong with your current heater?

I’m trying this in mine, but I don’t know if it is any better than what you’ve got already.
