So far I have a small clown in my tank. I am thinking of adding another clown, a yellow tailed damsel, a peppermint shrimp, a fuzzy mushroom, zoanthid. Is this to much live stock?

Way too much. 1 clown, shrimp and few corals will be ok.

My LFS has a 2.5 g tank with a huge live rock 2 clowns and a shrimp. They said it's been there for a year and they are happy. So I thought I could add a little bit more live stock since my tank is bigger.

That's what I found out reading on some forums. So damsel is out of my list.

What about corals? I really want to at least a zoa on my rock to give it color and life

I have two clowns ,green emerald crab two snails two hermits ,for live stock . for coral I have two Kenya tree ,one ricordea fl mushroom one green mushroom and a good size colony of zoa
