The start of my 5 gallon fluval sea evo tank for my wife’s office. Thinking just a nem and clown tank. Keep it simple

That's a cracking wee tank, we have two Fluval Evo 13.5s in our fish room just for nems and with a pair of clowns in each! You get a lot of joy out of a tank like that! :)

Best of luck..

I’m hoping it will be as enjoyable as our main tank. The tank is cycled and ready to go. My rbta split a few weeks ago so it’s going to be heading to this tank soon. Probably going to pick up a nano skimmer today and a couple little clowns on the weekend

The two EVO's we have both run without a skimmer- but with homemade refugiums (Two Little Fishies Phosban 150's) on the back- and 3D printed filter rollers from London Aquatic Design ;) Plenty enough!

Oh do you have any pictures of that set up. Might be a better way to go. I have a 3D printer so can print any parts I need

Absolutely, will get you some pictures in a couple of days when I am back home again! :-)

This is the manual filter roller we are running; in the middle compartment I have a small Eheim pump supplying the homemade algae reactor.

Now, the reactor is just a 'Two Little Fishies Phosban 150' wrapped in LED grow lights and covered in black tape to about light spill. I have attached an example from R2R.

Perfect thank you. I will look at maybe doing something similar. It’s such a small tank I wasn’t sure how I was going keep it running perfect

It’s been a little bit. But the new tenants have. Over into the 5 gallon. Little guys are about 3/4 of an inch. Already abusing the house plants lol
