5 gallon picture perfect pico tank

Pictures and details to come soon, but first looking for a suggestion:. I see this as a two fish tank. I have a 6 line wrasse (1 1/4" long) and I'm looking for something else small to add. Was going to go with a small damsel, but figure it will bully the wrasse. Any other recommendations?

Could do a clown, but everybody does a clown and would like something different.

5 gallons, so can't be much of a fish. This tank will be primarily corals.

Maybe a goby? Clown goby or one of the smaller frogfish (if you’re okay with the extra feeding work for a frog). Currently I’m trying to buy a coral croucher, they’re pretty sedentary

Oh dude you need some cool blenny es or gobies.... barnacle blenny, sailfish blenny, or goby and pistol shrimp pair

Just as heads up, if you were not aware, the six-line wrasse needs a larger tank than 5 gallons. If you've got a larger system he's going to go into, or are qt-ing him, he can definitely stay in a small tank for a bit, but even than, 5 gallons is a really small tank. I personally would only stock one with one or two small gobies, as most other fish are going to get too big, and need far more space to swim. Additionally, such a small pico tank can make keeping corals rough, due to rapid parameter swings. Especially if you've got fish in the mix. I don't mean to bring you down, but i'm concerned you jumped into the deep end, and aren't aware of the difficulties you seem to be setting yourself up to face.

Awesome tiny gobies that will make the tank look bigger than it is: Yellow Clown, Red Striped (Trimma), Red Head, Green Banded, Yellow (or Blue) Neon.

This is all true,except if you’re doing soft corals only you should have no real issues if maintenance is kept up.... that said if you’re planning to do hard corals or even LPS corals you’re gonna have to put thought into it a little more.... small blenny’s and gobies are your best bet that wrasse will outgrow the tank so just be ready for it

I have a pico tank for my daughter that has a cleaner goby and a Allen’s damsel they get along great and since the cleaner goby is so tiny not a huge bio load I have to stay on top of the water though since it’s a pico tank it’s only 2.7 gallons I have coral in the tank also and used xania to help filter the tank is 6 months old and so far doing great once the allens is big I will transfer him to my large tank and get her another small one the only problem I see is they like to hide so if your looking for a cool pair definitely a goby and pistol shrimp would be cool since they partner up

Thank you all for the input. Yes, to clarify, the 6 line is not a permanent resident, just staying for a time before moving to a bigger tank.

Also, the corals will just be soft corals.... Xenia, Colt, shrooms and zoa's. And in a tank that size, just a little bit of each!

i have a 5g I resurrected from my college days that I am just going to let some GSP go wild in and throw in a fish or two, not sure what yet so following here
