So I’d like to run a 5 gallon remote tank as a Fuge for my 35.2 water box. Going to have chaeto for nutrient export. What would be a decent light for it? Being a smaller fuge I wasn’t sure.

Thanks.

I use a clamp lamp and full spectrum LED bulb from Lowes. Put it on a timer for opposite of your tank lighting and you're set.

The options are really endless. Whichever option you go, the ability to control intensity and/or timing is important so you can adjust the nutrient export as needed.

For DIY, you could use a combo these products in unison for full schedule and dimming control:

Bulb: https://amzn.to/3TpyexQ
Fixture: https://amzn.to/43lzOW2
Cheaper bulb & ficture combo: https://amzn.to/3v9WVWQ
Dimmer/timer with app control: https://amzn.to/3vlFceZ

If you wanna get fancy, there are also bespoke refugium LEDs:

I personally use and enjoy the Kessil H80, it has easy to use knobs for spectrum and intensity control: https://amzn.to/3ICNrq4

I do like the option to be able to control the light to adjust for more or less nutrient uptake.

Thanks for the links.

With a 2.5 gallon aquarium as a fuge, 12x6x8. I was thinking of getting the Neptune grow light which is 8x6”. Should fit right over the top of that tank and even low wattage should be plenty?
