Has anyone used this on their reef? Reviews seem good but can't tell if anyone has used it on a reef aquarium?

Hmmm... I haven't seen this one before but one thing makes me nervous. They call it a 5 in 1 sensor. It actually only has 3 sensors. Salinity, Conductivity, and TDS are the exact same readings with different units. It would be like calling a thermometer a 2 in 1 sensor if it read in both F and C.

What about calibration?

Sounds like it’s too good to be true then but might give it a shot. I could always return it if it’s not lining up with my test kits.

I notice that the pH probe is only single junction so you definitely wouldn't want to leave it sitting in an active tank, although with this design that isn't likely anyway.

@rkpetersen
Could you please elaborate on this one?
I got a ph probe for my arduino project and never heard of the junction thing..

If you're going to leave a pH probe for any long period in a solution that has proteins, heavy metals or some other contaminants, like seawater or even worse tank water, it's better to use a double junction probe. With a single junction, contaminants can cross into the gel and precipitate and in some cases kill the probe. The double junction has a second barrier that further isolates the electrode into its own little gel space, which is much less likely to be contaminated.

Got it. Thanks!
So how can I tell if the probe I have is a single or double junction?
Any visual differences?

I just get it from the product description. If the outer housing is clear enough you may be able to see the inner gel housing.
