Hey Y'all,

Have my IM 50 EXT (maybe 60 gal total volume?) up and running and have my existing fish in the tank, now I'm looking at planning out the rest of the fish. Currently in the tank is a pair of clowns and a firefish.

Right now I'm thinking of:
  • Royal Gramma
  • Mandarin (way in the future)
  • McCosker's Wrasse
  • Blenny of some kind, probably midas or tailspot
  • Maybe a sand sifting goby if I can keep my pod population healthy enough
Any compatibility issues here? Any suggestions on other cool fish I could add to this list?

Thanks!

Hello, I think its fine only issues that MAY be an issue depending on fish behaviors is clownfish being clownfish. And you have three fish that light to stay low on substrate and perch on rocks.

Mandarin Blenny and sand sifting goby

Could be okay could be not I will let others chime in

Good call on the bottom dwellers. I had not considered that. I do have quite a bit of rockwork with a NSA scape and lots of horizontal space with it being a lagoon, so it might be okay? I could give or take the blenny/sand sifter though, so no biggie.

Luckily my clowns are pretty chill. They have nipped at my firefish a couple times based on its fin condition occasionally, but they were in a small 25 gallon nano before; they seem much more content with each other now that they have a bunch more space.

You could add the two and see how things go and then if you are comfortable with everything try the Mandarin
