I have a 50g breeder tank im planning to make into a sump for a 90g reef tank im building. This will be my first sump ever considering the tank I have currently doest have one. Ive been using a HOB skimmer and stuff. For this sump id like to have 3 chambers, one for the over flow and skimmer, then a fuge, then a return pump chamber. Now ive been doing a lot of research but its hard for me to understand. I dont know how many baffles ill need or how far apart to place them, or how high to place them.
Any help would be amazing! I will be using this SWC cone skimmer: SWC 160 Cone
the skimmer is 20 5/8 tall and has a foot print of 9" x 7" and requires 6-9" depth to function, and I will have a 4" filter sock mounted on the side of the tank where the overflow comes down into the sump. (same chamber as the skimmer will be in.)
