I’m thinking of upgrading from my 20 to a innovative marine 50 lagoon and was wondering what are some cool fish I can get in there. I definitely want a small puffer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think a fairy or flasher wrasse would make a great addition

Might have to go down to a 40 any problems with these fish or they still ok.

FOWLR gives you a ton-more options when it comes to fish selection, but a 40 gallon can fill up quickly, so I'd say research and research and research and hold out for your favorite fish. If you happen to live near a good LFS, you can browse online to your hearts content and then have the LFS order you the fish; let them hold them for a good week or more in their tank to check out the initial adjustment period. (Translation: Let it die on them, not on you. LOL! :p.) But you can also gain back some of the room you lost in the 50 gallon by using Negative Space Aquascaping (NSA) on your 40. Just some of my thoughts.

Thanks for the info that actually helped a lot.

Here’s some NSA in my 150-gallon FOWLR, but the principle is the same. More room for fish to swim.

Love the clown trigger!! I have been looking for one to add to my 180. Only one I have seen recently was so small I was afraid he would be a light snack for my Picasso.
