I have 4 Trouchus snails in my 32G mixed reef. Past few weeks they were spawning a lot. and now I have a lot of baby snails of different sizes(they grow really fast. the biggest ones are about half inch now). I count at least 50 just on the glass.
I figure once they get bigger I will move some to my other tank and give the rest to LFS. How many can I keep in a 32G without starving them? Also how big should they get before I can start transferring them out to other tank or give to LFS?

Current tank inabitants:
2 clowns
bangii cardinal,
yellow watchman
long nose hawk
1 mexican turbo
4 adult trouchus
5 blue leg hermits
corals

I would say about 15-20 snails is good.

I run 1 snail to every 2 gallons of tank volume. Last count in my 120 was 70+. I have found this ratio works well in all my systems for algae control.
I had no algae issues with 4 snails, but good to know the tank can support up to 20. I will try to keep 15 adults and see if there are starvation issues. Thanks!
