50g AIO or 50g with sump ?

I can’t decide on if I want an all in one 50 gallon innovative marine or their 50 gallon set up for a sump...? Whatever one has less of a chance of leaking is the way I want to go.. my wife is worried about leaks in her house lol

Honestly, from using both, you want the sump setup if you can swing it.

Leaks usually only occur from operator error in my experience and random snails with no strainer.

Sump will give you the extra room for down the road, proper skimmer, bigger return pump, place to hide ato, easier to work on.

Less chance of leaks would be the aio but as stated above, you will kick yourself in the butt later.

Go with the sump. Way more room for equipment and extra water volume, always a good thing.

I would definitely go with a sump as it gives you a lot more flexibility but if leaks are your top concern then AIO is the better option. A sump with leak detectors will give you a heads up if there is an issue and if you keep it simple leaks with a sump can be minimized
