Hello fellow reefers,

Within the next month will be moving into a new house so will have room to be able to set up another tank. Originally was going to upgrade my 15g mixed reef to a 50g, but now thinking I will keep my 15g and start a 50g FOWLR.
Would this stocking be ok in a 50g FOWLR,

Valentini puffer
Fuzzy dwarf lionfish
Pair of designer clowns
6 line wrasse

If possible would also like to add a BTA for the clowns.

Would this stocking plan be ok?

Thanks in advance

Dom

Anything that can fit into the dwarf lions mouth=food. No way it could catch the 6 line, but I would be wary of smaller clowns with one. Puffers can be fin nippers but the Valentini is pretty well behaved. Maybe consider swapping the dwarf lion with a Pygmy or Dwarf Angel.

Thank you for the reply. The Mrs loves the Valentini and I love the dwarf lion so the tank would be set up to keep these two fish, would they be compatible together as these are the two fish we really want? If they are what other fish could we add in a 50g?

Thanks again

Love my Valentini Puffer. I agree that the Clowns could become the Lion’s fish-food. Have you ever thought about a Bannerfish? Very colorful, beautiful swimmers, and easy to keep. Best wishes!
