50g fowlr to reef

Haha, yeah you gotta get some in there man. I love the stuff.

I've never had it, but looks amazing. I would get some locally, but the closest lfs tanks are riddled with aipstasia

Hmm........would that transfer over? I don't know the answer to that. It doesn't seem likely.......but I've been wrong before. Let me see if @melypr1985, would know. Sorry for the tag melypr, I don't know who else to ask.

Getting coralline scrapings from a aiptasia infested tank. Would that do anything?

Actually he can just get a few snails with coraline on their shells and scrape a little off there. Or even just a dead snail shell. I dont think the aptasia would transfer over from just a few scrapings off of a rock though. A few hermits or snails with coraline on them is a safe and easy way to go.

I don't know why I didn't think of the snail shells! Anyways, thanks for dropping by!

Thanks, I sure appreciate it. Thanks for stopping by. I'll see what I can find next time I go down.

I've been kind of struggling with what to do with the left rock, but I think I'm gonna put some gsp on it and let it take over that rock. Thoughts or different ideas?

I've just skimmed your thread out of curiosity. I LOVE your aquascape! It's exactly what I tried to do in my 75 but I screwed it up when I had to take all my fish out to treat them for ich. LOVE IT!

It looks like your off to a great start. You could do all kinds of things with that lone rock. GSP is a good option and a great way to keep it isolated. Another good option would be a monti island. You could put several colors of plating montis on it and let them grow out and around it. Would make for a really cool look when in a few months to a year. Of course that's assuming you have lights that will support that.

Thanks for the compliment! I worked on the scape for quite a while to get it there. Had to bust out some hand tools. Great idea on the montis, I will check into that before I make any final decisions. I'm not absolutely sure what my lights can and cannot do. I've seen other people have some success with them. I've been debating ordering an ATI t5 fixture.

The firefish ate a little bit tonight again. He only eats really small pieces of mysis. The goby didn't eat though he was out and about then went and hid behind a rock right before I was getting ready to feed. Have any tips on getting green clown goby to eat? With their hiding nature, it may be tough and such ultra small mouths lol

You could try hatching live brine shrimp. It's very easy to do and usually live foods entice any fish to eat. You can also try adding a garlic supplement to the foods to entice them to eat. Don't do this forever though, excessive garlic use has been linked to liver damage in fish.

I don't have any baby brine shrimp eggs and don't know if the pet store carries any, ill check tomorrow.I can try to order some online. What kind of garlic supplement?

Something like this.
th

It is only meant to entice the fish to eat, not as a vitamin supplement. Just keep that in mind :)

Will do. I'm betting I also don't have that near me lol I'll figure something out.

What all do I need to hatch brine shrimp

What all do I need to hatch brine shrimp

All of these things, the hatchery, brine shrimp eggs and garlic should be readily available at most LFS... probably not petco though.

This is the hatchery I use and I like it.

PaulB Made his own and it looks something like this.

Okay I will check it out. I doubt the pet store in town has anything like that. I will stop by tomorrow after work and see what they have. Thanks for the help. That's the only problem where I live, have to order most everything in lol

Well sad news... The green clown goby died this afternoon. Checked parameters, all was great. I guess I kind of expected it since he didn't eat last night and he looked fairly stressed before I went to bed. But still disheartening, always get attached to my fish. They all have names lol and his was reptar. Here is one of the last pictures I have of him.
