54 Gallon Corner Tank Help

Hey guys,

Since my 75 gallon tank had a bad leak, ive decided to down grade and put a aquarium in my den. I will be able to enjoy it more in there. Ive come across some problems thou. Im having a hard time finding a sump that will fit in the stand. Would like to have one in mind before I order the tank. Also will prolly have to buy a new skimmer as well. Anyone have a 54 gallon corner? If so where did you get your sump from? Pics of everything below in the stand. Need some good advice. Thanks

10 gallon DIY sump with sc aquariums skimmer is perfect. There is a guy on eBay that sells baffles, filter sock and bulkheads for the DIY. It's very easy to put together and it's already premade for a 10 gallon tank. Should cost ya less than $70 or so for a very nice DIY setup total.

I had a 54 corner. Sump was the biggest headache.
I ran a 16 bow as a sump. Worked great. But a little tall. then switched to a 10 gal. Glass was thin and didn't leave much room for drain down.

A custom sump would be ideal. A low triangular shape to use as much space as possible

I had to go with a custom as well to get anything close to a functional setup. If I had it to do over I would do a triangular design.

I use a 15g tall on my 54g corner which is the same footprint as a 10g only taller, I did have to notch about a 1/4'' notch out of my stand but you cant see it with the door shut. Here is a couple pics of mine:

I ended up going with a 75 gallon sump that would fit in the bottom of the stand. Just don't have room for chaeto. Gonna try to rig something up to where I can thou. Any ideas?
