I am in the process of a build, but I am looking into lights as I am working on a DIY stand/canopy. The corals I look to have are mushrooms, other soft corals and zoas. Eventually look to have anemones and LPS corals. What would be a good light to purchase. My knowledge in this area is very limited, so I appreciate all help. Thanks in advance!

first, I see you are a new member so WELCOME to R2R! second FWIW, long time ago I built a canopy for my 100g. on the bottom of the lid I glued a mirror and installed the sockets etc... for fluorescent lights (before t5):) and had good lighting for mushrooms and leathers. did not try zoa's also there are some great diy led lighting kits (I typed in led lighting for reef tanks) and found some great websites to buy all the components you would need so I guess i'm saying decide on t5 or leds both are fine for what you want in your tank and can be diy into your canopy. Hope this helps.
