55 Gallon Fuge

I am going to be plumbing in a 55 gallon fuge into my system. I am going to be Tee'ing off my drain line and running that into the fuge. My question is I plan to ball valve the drain line into the fuge to slow the water flow off. Does one need to put a Baffle in this section of the fuge or no? Can I control the flow through the fuge with just his valve? I also plan on having some bigger pieces of liverock where the water first enters the fuge to help slow/break up the water. Does this sound like it will work? The fuge is going to consist of Refuge Mud, Liverock Rubble, and Chaeto to start out.

The ball valve should be enough to control the water. Sounds like a good plan to me. Very similar to what I did with a 5 gallon fuge, just bigger scale.
