I used this barrel for my RODI water holding container so it's clean and ready to go. I never mixed saltwater in the container.
There is a 1/2" hole about 3" from the top where my shut off valve sat so it will hold about 53 gallons of water. There are no other holes in the container.
The top was cut open by a previous owner which makes it very easy to get into the barrel with pumps, tubing, etc.
