i have a 55 gal wave front, taking 25% of water and liverocks out to another 55 gal i have, topping off with ro water...do i have to let new tank cure or can i put fish and plants ect. in new tank? so i guess my question is,, with 25% cured water and rock is it now cured tank?

Ron, I am confused... Are you saying you have two tanks, one tank an established saltwater tank and the other you'd like to make a saltwater tank? Why would you top off with ro water, and not saltwater.. is the salinity too high? Either way I don't recommend you put any livestock in any tank until everything's situated.. meaning maybe about 3-4 weeks... 2 if you're lucky. Curing takes a while to do well.

yes im making a reef tank with my other 55 gal tank, and i topped off with R/O saltwater, i used 25% of salt, rocks and sand from my established tank..than topped off with the R/O saltwater

Without putting to many items in the new tank you could right off put some items in the new tank. Your going to need someing to produce ammonia or the bacteria will die. Just try to put something in there at first thats not to messy like don't put in a lion fish .
