It’s only a temporary fluorescent light but I’m going to be getting an ati t5 bulb and led black boxes
I run black boxes over my 55. not the greatest, but i have healthy growing corals so it's not that bad. it's an older pic, but the lights are still the same.

The black boxes are a phenomenal price but when I saw Ryan take one apart on the lighting videos he showed just why they may be prone to fires and I decided to go with reefbreeders instead. Still more affordable than ecotech or even ai but better individual components than the black boxes.you going to put a strainer in your drain?

i saw that too, mine have legit heat syncs, but prolly still have the hotspot problems.

Yeah, and unfortunately it makes sense that they would be able to offer them cheaper by skimping on components, but I will say I have a hard time justifying an 800$ led that will cover a 3x2 area on the other end of the spectrum lol.
