55 gallon sps help

I personally like skimz, I run one now and am very happy. Just make sure it fits in your skimmer compartment of your sump.

It looks like you just have lace rock in your tank. I'd highly recommend getting some LR whether straight from the reef or synthetic. With your coral bioload you shouldn't be dosing anything. In my opinion, you should increase your flow, I have a 90G frag tank with two Rw-15's for flow. For SPS in a 55G you should aim for a pair of RW-8's at a minimum. Asking questions means you're on the right track. Keep at it and you will have a successful reef before too long.

my rock should be live rock by now its been set up for 4 or 5 years and was in my 29 gallon prior and my total flow from my two pumps is 1650 gph and that's 30 times my tank volume, so I need more?

You mentioned not getting an RODI unit for Christmas, are you using tap or buying Rodi water?
If your using tap, what is the alk of the tap water? It may be hard water, that is contributing to the alk reading. Seems like I remember that the alkalinity reading from tap, may not be useful for our purposes but I could be totally wrong on that. Just something to look into.
If you are buying rodi water, what is the TDS? You can get a handheld meter inexpensively to check your source water

How does that work I typed in my tanks size and it says that the mp60s are too big but than it just leave the mp40 and mp10 blank
Add and remove the pumps that say zero to get the chart on the right into desired zone

when I do water changes I use ro/di water I use to top off with tap water (I know it counter productive) but recently I have been topping off with ro/di water. I did that and I still don't really understand because when I put 2 mp10s it goes up the whole chart?

Keep up with just RODI, it will take time to make up for the tap..
This is the chart I got on standard 55g measurements, looks like two mp10 would put you in ideal range :

would two jebao rw-8 be good due to the high price of the mp10?
Maybe too much.. That is the same flow rating as my wp25 and they where a bit much on my 55g. I used an adjustable power supply and lowered the voltage and then they were fine. You might look at the PP8, have a better magnet..
But I have had the wp25s running since February 2014 and they are doing fine. So I think it's a fine alternative

Not sure, I think it'd be ok with your rock work. You might try googling "which rw for 55g", opinions vary. Have seen couple recommendations to do the rw8 but use a JB wave, which if you have the cash would be a nice upgrade.

From website :Control your Jebao/Jecod pumps from your Smartphone or Tablet.
Set up and control your Jebao pumps from your Apple or Android device. Simply download a free app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and you're ready to go.

The JBWave replaces your single or twins Jebao controller and provides accurate, advanced wavemaking and precise control over pump speed and wave pattern.
No more "gravel" storms. No need to hack your power supply to reduce speed. 10 different wave patterns with individual speed control lets you mix and match any pump models on the same controller.

Yeah, I want one. Was hoping my controller would die so I had an excuse to upgrade, but nope it's working just fine..
