Alright guys, I need help trying to decide how i want it all laid out. Let's see what yours looks like. I bought about 60-65 pounds of established rock off a guy pretty cheap. There's not a lot of large pieces[emoji17] so help me out!!!
Thanks!

This is all I could come up with so far.

I think the 55 is the hardest tank to scape. a lot of people stack against the wall. are you going to secure those rocks? doesn't look like it will take much to send them tumbling. I would try to get some larger pieces for a base. you might try two islands with some open space between them.

Use a couple of smaller rocks at the bottom corners to allow flow through there. Stack big rocks on top of those and the flow can go under your rocks and not build up detritus.

Dang, yeah, agree with 3dees that the 55 is a toughie. I ran one of those for about my first 7 years. I know everyone is trying to avoid the "rock wall" look these days but with the width of the 55 it'll give you a bit more "beach" out front (which you'll want if you ever get a nem, plate coral, or other stuff that wants to live on the sand.

What you might do is push the center of that stack to the back and have it bow out on either side from the center toward the front. Would give some good depth of field.

I like all the gaps in there but like 3dees said, you probably want to glue them in place because stacks like that aren't terribly stable.

Last, I'd second Diesel's link. Great stuff in there.

I'd go higher. Marcorocks has some great mortar for sticking it all together if theyre still dry. If it's live rock, zip ties will be your friend.
