anybody got a pic or a link to a 55g refugium? I am trying to figure out how many baffels I need so I can get it together...it is just a fuge it will gravity drain into a 30g sump.

why have any baffles if it is gonna drain into a sump? I say just leave it without any baffles and make an overflow out of pvc to use for it. It should be prefect that way.

Probably need baffles to keep the algae in the fuge from flowing back into the tank or clogging the return right?

I would just use some netting to keep it from getting near the overflow and clogging it. shouldn't be too hard to do without baffles.

you are correct rev....I know I need one baffle to keep the algae from blocking the drain to the sump...I had thought about glueing eggcrate around the drain to keep that from happening. which then I would not need the baffle right? But I think I still need one baffle on the left so I won't be blowing the DSB all over the place from the drains...sump and fuges confuse the hell out of me.....lol

I will post a pic of how the 55 sits right now so anybody with any idea can chime in.

thanks for the suggestions...how would you suggest I get the 2 90 to drain in the fuge without blowing the DSB all over the place? It just dawned on me that maybe I could cut a piece of acrylic to lay on top top the 55 and cout holes in then so I could use filter socks...you think that would work?
