57 gallon rimless lighting help

Hey so I ordered my 57 gallon and it should be coming next thursday!

I need help with lighting. It's going to be a reef mixed with SPS LPS zoas and a carpet nem!

I'm thinking of staying away from LED and going to probably a 6 bulb T5 or a MH

Can everyone give me suggestions on this please.

Do you need a Carpet? I have one that i wanting to get rid of,It wont stay put so be careful ..

I would go with a 6x39watt ATI Sunpower or Powermodule.. :nerd:

I love mine to death ,well the clowns do ..You know before the clowns hosted it ,It would eat a piece of shrimp about every 2 days ,now it dont eat anything and havent in 3 months..wonder if the clowns are feeding it,Oh well ,Love the red ones..Mine is around 18 inches.Its huge

Lights i would use T5 .I just installed new ATI and love them..

Depends on bulb combination but they are alot better then the stock that came with my light.

,I'm running 3 Blue +, 2-coral plus and 1 purple plus color is great and corals pop

Gonna order another B+ to replace the Purple and see what color that brings out..

I was planning on doing 2 blues then 2 purples and 2 whites

I like the combo,I had 3 whites 3 blues on old and colors wouldn't stand out on any of my orange/reds but yeah that purple will help alot.

Here is my exact situation though.

I have a 29 gallon bio cube with an JBJ led light over the top. That obviously won't be enough for the 57 gallon but I do have a radion in the closet lol. But the power supply is bad and idk why. Ecotech told me that they would send me a new power supply then when I got the new one I would send mine back and if they determine it was something I did like water or something then they charge you 309. I know I didn't do anything to it but who knows what they will find. So I don't feel like gambling that 309 if I'm not gonna use the radion.

Thoughts on just fixing the radion?

dang and they wanna charge you for something u had no control over,Here i was thinking of getting the Gen 2 ones...hmmmm
2nd thoughts now if they dont even have a 1 year warranty ...Well you already have the new piece how they gonna charge ya when u close out the credit card you gave them...

Well im switching, as i type to a 120 from a 75 ,so you will be doing the same next week ...
