57 Illuminata

looks good!. I am also contemplating the 70gallon from cadlights. Sick dimensions on it.

Anyway, looking forward to your setup with some top notch equipment!

TY ,
Yeah I like the Cad . U can't do any worse with the Illuminata or DB57 . *** for tat on all 3
I have been trying to get in touch with the LFS via email and phone . No responses . The tank is supposed to be here today . I will be hopeful .
Otherwise I will just be hoarding equipment like my bud stated .

Well this blows .
I almost took a 30 minute drive to the LFS but decided to call .
He never ordered the tank or stand . He explained himself and I understand .
I am just a lil PO'd that he never called to explain the situation ..
The vendor rep lives right down the street from the store and works out of New York .
He couldn't even let me know when he would be able to follow up with me . ARRRGh !!!!
I still have credit at the store that I was not going to use for the tank or stand . I will make a road trip and burn that up on a bucket of salt and chemicals .
It's too late now to order anything with the holidays going . I really do not want that DB57 with that huge overflow box .

WHAT TO DO ?????

Sorry to here about the tank/stand situation. You'll get it next week. Score on the sump, very nice and the skimmer fits!

Yep the whole story reeks.
Someone local to me is selling a 65 rr aqueon brand new cheap. He said he would even deliver it to me.
I may just have to live with that until the move next year.
Not rimless, and it has a cross brace. He wants 2 bills for it.
I think that is a very good price
Still has the cardboard and stickers on it.
Feedback please ......

Looks like you got a good start going!! That is some nice bubble right out of the sink.

I looked at the 65 gallon but to me the tank is funny looking, I think its the height that does it and not enough width... Its your call on that..

The width of a illuminata even irks me .Ur right and I am a short guy . Really not in the mood o use a step stool . I sent an email to pass on it . Also got a phone call from a bud that owns a LFS .

Will be going tank hunting this weekend and have a face to face with the LFS (that was supposed to order the tank ) ..... I will try to behave myself .

Came from the LFS with no tank . :( . He had nothing that I thought would work for me . A DB80 that was not drilled .

Guy claimed it could be drilled in the back but I am not going to take any chances .

Red Sea CP salt in the new Formula but old bucket for 39.00 ,

My acrylic top off was at the door when I got back from the LFS . TY Wes for saving me some space .

OOPS

Well I did a dry fit and I need to do some serious alterations and mods .

Still trying 2 figure out how I am going to fit this equipment in here .

The sump will not be sitting on the floor . Notched out board should give me 6 inches of lost space left to right . I hope I can find the 4 inches for the dosing containers .

^^^^^^^^

Made some progress.

Notched out some aspen board and painted some of the stand and boards white .

Yeah B ... Speaking of rock .. it showed up today . One rock was busted up and look at the mud on the top rock lower portion .

Scrubbed down and curing as we speak . Took awhile to find the nitrile gloves . I forgot where I put them .Those are 12 x 12 tiles for size reference .

This rock , The bonsai one and the real reef rock with a few old school rocks should do it for me . Proly 44 lbs total .
