I have a deep sea aquatics 190g set up as a peninsula, but it's not a true peninsula tank.

I'm tired of looking at the back of the tank and seeing black where they over flow is.

I'm working with a total of six feet in length that I can use. I would like to stay with a 60" tank because it for the space well.

I just can't seem to find many 60" tanks. Any know companies that make a 60" tank??

5 foot tanks are more of a custom order as most companies stick with the 48 or 72" sizes as these are the most popular. I just ordered my custom 60" Tank and they really aren't much more than companies like Red Sea and waterbox...

And FWIW the red sea reefer peninsula 650 is 62.5" long and waterbox has a couple peninsula that are close...

Marineland makes one. 120XH if I recall (and I should since I have one.....).

Planet aquarium will make one reasonably priced. I will let you know in quality when I get it.

My tank is 5ft long. 60long by 36wide by 25 high. I love it. I love the width as it doesn’t look skinny like the 18 wides. But then again mine is also a divider tank which separates my rooms

My five footer came from Glass Cages....they will do whatever you want.

I recommend the waterbox peninsula 6026. It's 60 x 26 x 24H so great dimensions. Comes with the tank, stand, sump, and all plumbing.

Red Sea makes the Peninsula 650 that is 63 x 25.2 x 23.6H so similar dimensions. They both run the same price and come with tank, stand, sump.

These are your best options unless you want to do custom tank.

I’ll echo. SCA makes a 60”x24”x24” 150 gallon and they will put the holes on the end for a peninsula if you call them and ask

I just ordered a 60" by 24" by 24" tank from Custom Aquariums (https://www.customaquariums.com). This will be an island tank with an overflow in the center of the tank. For a peninsula you should have an overflow on the short side against the wall. I have not received this tank yet, but have heard good things about the quality of their work.

I bought a tank from these guys & WILL NOT do so again because of after purchase customer support>
I considered it when I got mine, but figured support could be an issue and went local instead. Definitely a smart decision. Better service and a much nicer tank.

I just linked it because it was the only place I could find a description with pictures of the tank being discussed.

Any thought on just removing the corner overflow and just use standpipes?
I have thought about this myself. 1 main drain 1 emergency. Just need to beef up the pipes to make them stronger and not move around to put stress on the bulkheads.

Just a thought.

I have thought about this. There are a couple things stopping me
1) I have almost 4in sand bed up against the overflow and don't really want to disturb it
2) I would have to completely drain the tank
3) I would have to smaller the pipes either to the side of the tank, or to the center, and then hide them with rock work

I'm leaning toward a 120 with a single corner overflow at the moment.

I'm limited to marineland reef ready tanks, or aqueon standard tanks. I work in distribution and our company carries those brands. I don't have the budget for a red Sea or waterbox.

So I've been selling off extra equipment and just extra stuff to fund the new tank. I labeled an envelope 'new fish tank fund' and have slowly been building it up. Well my wife found it, and I went to put in some more money and found a note that said 'if you want a new tank just go get one'

So I guess I'm in the clear to get a new tank!!

Here's some pics of the current tank. As you can see, the overflow section is pretty ugly from the back.

I'm leaning toward a 120 with single corner overflow. I'll run a Herbie overflow with returns coming up over the side of the tank on the short end near the wall.

Once I pull the trigger, it's only going to be a couple days until everything is swapped out.

I'm 90% sure on the next tank. I'll be selling the old system, so if anyone near North East PA wants a 190 tank, stand, and canopy for somewhere in the $300 range shoot me a pm.

Just a thought. Why not eliminate the overflow box altogether? Instead you could use 2 - 1.5" bulkheads with 90 degree elbows with strainers. This would free up some real estate in the tank, also it might not look as obtrusive as large a black box. Good luck with the move! I know how much thought goes in to it.

This is a 5' (60"x 30"x 31")Planet Aquarium. There is a purple Pavona growing on the right 2" PVC 90.
