Hi Everyone! Newbie Here whose 1 month into the hobby. My DT is a 45 gal JBJ that currently houses 2 beautiful clowns, a yellowtail damsel, and a very social cleaner shrimp. The friend who got me into the hobby recently had to pull out all his fish due to a breakout of Brook and is having severe regrets about not quarantining. Being new to the hobby and having some expensive clownfish currently in the tank, I decided that it would be smart of my to get a QT now and do my best to avoid all the heartbreak later.

However, I don't have much space to work with. I was able to fit a 6.8 gal imagitarium brand aquarium into my room and hope to use that as a QT. It has a powerhead and filtration, lights, an ammonia badge, and two pvc pipes in it. My QT plan is to observe fish for 14 days, feed them medicated food for 10 days, and then observe another 7 before transferring to DT for every new fish. I know this is not a lot of room to work with but I also don't plan on having too large of fish in my 45. Here's the breakdown of what I have in mind:

QT 1: Black Cap Basslet
QT 2: 2 Yellow or Green Clown Gobys
QT 3: Longnose Hawkfish
QT 4: Six Line Wrasse

Each would be in the 6.8 for a month if completely healthy and possibly longer if treatment is needed. Would all the fish be okay in that space for that month or will it simply be too stressful on them and make things worse? I know a 10g would be much more ideal and I can really try and squeeze something in but am unsure if I can. The eagerness in me wants to combine some fish in there (I.e. having the clown gobies and the basslet in at the same time) but patience is a virtue in this hobby and I don't want to risk severe ammonia spikes in the 6.8 gal.

Let me know if I am absolutely crazy or if this can work without incredible risk. If I absolutely must get a 10g I can try and figure something out. My big concerns right now are ammonia spikes (which I have prime, a badge, and will be conducting frequent water changes) and space for the fish (unremedied). Thank you everyone! Excited to hopefully become an active member of the community :)

How big are each of the fish? And are you talking about putting them all in at the same time?

All will ideally be Juvenile, so max size would be 2-3" for the longnose and basslet. Everything else would be 1 - 2". And no all separate, so each QT is a session, i.e. QT 1 is just the basslet for 30 days, QT 2 is just the gobies for 30 days, etc.
