6 bulb or 8 bulb t5? What do you think?

What would you recommend or a 72 gallon bow front? A 6 bulb or 8 bulb t-5 fixture (ati bulbs)? Tank is about 20 inches deep 48 inches long. Has sps, Lps, and softies.....thanks r2r!

looking at 6 bulbs; the 8 bulb fixture is likely too wide as such you would be lighting the floor around the tank.

Agreed. I would go with the 6 bulb. The 8 bulb fixtures are a lot wider than people realize. Just be careful with the placement of you SPS with a T5 only setup. Higher is always going to be better, and I would check the PAR ratings if you can.

6 bulb should be plenty with sps towards the top for better growth and color
