6 kh daily to hight ?

My 90g total water volume have 6dkh consomation/day is that normal? 27 frag sps 3 small colonie and 1 maxima clam 3lps, so im dosing around 200ml kh day
All ohter parameter in check 8/8.3 kh 420 cal 1320 mag no3 1 po4 0

Your maxima is sucking up a nice chunk of that. For reference (in ml, not in dkh), I dose 15ml/day to a 43gal system to maintain 8.0dkh with SPS colonies and no clam. 27 frags is a ton of frags btw. It's gonna eat a lot more once those hit grow mode.

Ok but if im downgrade to 40g, i will put 100ml day to stay at 8kh. I almost 7x more dosing, thats why im Little stress about this hight dosing the maxi clam can really suck that mush is only about 6"?

What I say still stands, you have more than 3xs as many frags and a clam that's probably accounting for half of that uptake...

The other option is you're dosing so aggressively it's precipitating out of solution. Params look fine though and seems you run a ton of frags plus, like I said, that clam will suck alk like nobody's business.

Are you dosing 100 ml daily by hand or are you using a doser or otherwise breaking up the daily dosing? It may be worth trying out another/fresh alk test kit. I'm not suggesting you can't possibly be dropping alk so quickly, but given that you're suspicious of it, it may be worth spending ~$20 on another alk test kit (just in case).

On a related note, 100 ml of alk dosed in a single shot daily (if that's what you're planning on doing in the 40 galloon) may cause a swing in just 40 gallons of water (after live rock, sand, etc.) You may want to ask others about this as I've never dosed 100 ml (in a single dose) in just 40 gallons of water with a full-blown SPS. Meaning, I've historically always broken it up into smaller doses throughout the day.

That sounds like quite a large amount tbh. Do you have a lot of coralline as well? That can be a big consumer of alk and Ca.

Im dosing whit doser 12x 10ml red sea kh and 12x 3ml red sea cal and 1x 3ml red sea mag whit 1x 1ml of abcd trace element /day and 3ml acropower / day 90g volume water total, i test kh everyday at 7am and 8pm at 7am im at 8.1then at 8 pm im at 6.4 whit the 120ml dosing .so each day i hand dosing around 6pm 80ml to have8.1 at 8pm and still have 8.1 at 7am. Is like that for 1 week now. I test whit 2 test 1 hanna and salifer the 2 give me the same result +/- 0.1. i have also change all the tubing of the doser and recalibrate all is done but i still need to overdose 80ml more each day for 3 day now.

The tank have 1year now. Im reffing for 7year but last 6 year only soft and lps im not the sps king. And that why im asking coze this seem alot for me coze i have never put kh in my lps / soft tank

We found your problem. You are not consuming 6dkh today via the corals but by precipitation. The carrying capacity of your water is lower than the amount you are trying to dose for. My educated guess is that your Magnesium in significantly lower than the recommended 1300ppm.

Hmm, that isn't the issue then.

Can you dose over the top of a power head in the main display? I'm wondering if flow rate through the sump might be partially to blame.
