A little bit of background. I ordered 6 fish from BZA: 6-line, Coral Beauty, Lawnmower Blenny, Royal Gramma, Black & White Heniochos and Orchid Dottyback. They all look well and acclimated perfectly. They are very active and feeding is not a problem. I have LR and sand in my qt, I think it really helps with comfort for the fish. The Heniochos had two white spots on him, one on fin and one on his body. Suspecting flukes, I gave him a freshwater dip, and I am pretty sure I saw him cough up a fluke or two. It's so hard to tell. I wanted to take a wait-and-see approach with it. The next day I saw my six-line scratch himself against the rocks. Immediately I used Prezipro and it seemed to be working. All the fish are fine. They are eating like pigs. Swimming and breathing is normal too. The butterfly cleared up nicely, however, today, I saw the six-line scratch himself again, two times, one after another. So my question do I go to Copper, or finish with Prezipro, 2 more treatments, and then hit them with Cupramine? Can I do both at the same time? I do not see any indications of ich. What else can it be? 6-line did have diarrhea for a day or two, but after Prezi his next movement was normal.

This is often a sign of the wrasse claiming a certain spot in the tank. It’s completely normal behavior and will subside once territory is established.

Can be associated with typical habit or flukes

Really? I will pay closer attention to the location of this. But with 6-lines, they think the entire aquarium is theirs. Thanks a ton.

He’ll probably do it in the future as well after the addition of new fish. Yeah they think they own the joint.

I usually dose coppersafe (milder than Cupramine) and then Praziquantel, because protozoans diseases are more likely to kill fish sooner than flukes will.

Only one species of fluke is really large enough to be seen in a dip - Neobenedenia. It looks like fish scales on the bottom of the container after the dip. All the other fluke species are too small to be seen in dips without a microscope - your heni may just have coughed up some mucus.

All that said, in this case, I think you should dose Prazipro, two more times, 8 days apart, and then start coppersafe at 2.5 ppm....watching the fish VERY closely for any protozoan diseases that might crop up during that time.....
