Hello, I got a problem I’d really appreciate your help with.
I brought home a six-line wrasse from a lfs I trusted about 2 months ago. I dipped it in paraguard for an hour then put it in DT. I had heard those fish hardly ever get sick. After about 2 weeks I noticed a strange bump on his head and rapid breathing so I removed from DT and put in frag tank after another paraguard dip. The bump went away after the dip and while I observed the fish I used prazipro in DT now twice following directions. The fish in DT seem ok but I read yesterday that prazipro only paralyses flukes and that they can reinfect the fish after a while. So I’m wondering if I should do a wc of 30% for 5 days or if I change the water all at once. The latter is gonna severely handicap my bio filtration but willing to do it if indeed the flukes are still lingering about.
Also, the wrasse is now in hospital tank on 2nd dose of prazi still breathing fast and his stomach looks inflated. What should be my next step in attempting to cure him?
Thank you very much.
