Yes was reading about that. They cover themselves to sleep and stay on a strict schedule.Youll be fine. They stress and takes time to adjust. Also it will take a bit to adjust to your light schedule. Wrasse have a great bio clock.
7 months. HaveIt's difficult to say, he may show up again or he may not. How old is your tank and what other inhabitants do you have?

...sixlines don't bury in the sand
are you sure you have a sixline?
Agree sixline wrasse don't bury in the sand. They cover them selves with mucus to form like a cacoon. And if it were a sixline then don't be worried unless its been missing for a long period of time. Those little rascals are very hardy and aggressive. Also check the back of you're aquarium and overflow cause they have a tendency to jump.
lol np. Even though it is a melanurus, it is still super hardy. Had mine for a couple of years and passed away recently. It was a bully though. He bullied every wrasse that I put in my tank. Anyway, don't be worried unless it's been missing for 3 weeks. I had fish before that stayed hidden for almost 2 weeks.sorry for saying 6 line.
It's a
melanurus wrasse
