6 line wrasse

Both are comparable in appearance. Care, water quality, and diet will have a greater affect in this species than location of collection.

Be aware that sixlines have a bad reputation. They can get aggressive to tankmates, particularly those added after them. They also are big time pod eaters, so they prevent mandarins and other dragonets being added.

Yep. Unless you have a huge tank, don't do it. And also don't do mystery wrasse. Both are mean to other reef safe wrasses and very hard to catch.

I agree with everyone above - avoid this species like the plague if you're in this for the long haul

but with that being said, it would make a killer addition to a nano with just a pair of clown or something like that. I love the coloration on them, but they WILL destroy all other wrasses in the same tank.

Sometimes even tangs and angels, too! No fish is safe from a mature adult!
