6 or 8 bulb ati t5?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of setting up a 125 gallon mixed reef tank.

My tank is 60×22×22

I'm going with a 60" ati T5HO fixture but unsure about going with the 6 bulb or 8 bulb.....

If I go with the 6 bulb I am assuming that I can just keep it much lower to the surface and still be fine.....and if I go with the 8 bub I could just keep it farther off the surface of the water....is there such a thing as too much light?

i have a similar setup,8 bulb,currently keeping it about 16"above the waterline and very happy with all lighting levels in tank,sps mid and high and chalices on sand

@authentic nice! Could I see some pics by any chance? Another concern I have about going with the 8 bulb is light spill.......but I'm leaning towards the 8 bulb because i could still use it when I upgrade my tank
