No leaks; not all of the panels were a perfect fit (overhang in a few spots) after preping the edges but i can fix that with a router (not really worried about it though).
Sump in the stand; made the stand out of extruded aluminium, the upper board is made from 3/4" hickory. I haven't made the lower board yet. I need to shorten the feet a bit still also. Should be able to pack controller, dosers, reactors, and what ever else I need above the sump.
The sole survivor from my last tank was living in this ten gallon tank (bottom shelf) for a long time. Turned his old tank into a sump for my old 29. Will use this setup as a holding/ quarintine/ frag tank in support of the new cube tank. Should have the overflow, return, and chaeto light installed this week.
Test fitting the main display; lots of sanding to do before welding here. Should be easier than the sump. Thicker panels seem to be easier to sand and weld together. This tank seems far larger in person than the image suggest; it's a 24" x 24" x 24" cube made from 1/2" acrylic
