So I figured about time for an update. Thanks to such a wonderful person I have a new protein skimmer. I knew my old one sucked I just didn’t know how bad it was. Placed my new aquamaxx in a bucket of water and some vinegar for a week. And now just placed it in the tank this morning. Holy CRAP this this is skimming in the first 10 mins.
Again you know who I’m talking to (Santa) you are a wonderful person and absolutely can not thank you enough for this. I had many challenges this year including an severe arm injury and several surgeries my tank had to be put to the side till next year. Now I got everything done I hoped for and can’t wait to see how everything goes next year. Merry Christmas to all and to all a great Reef.

I’m so happy you and your tank are enjoying the gifts! Isn’t it amazing what happens when you see what a good skimmer will pull? I just cleaned one of my skimmer cups which I do every other day

So just a little follow up after some much needed up grades looks like things are growing at a great rate. Biggest thing is my blue painted war favia in September it was just on the plug but in the past month has now spread to the surrounding rock. Live this thing.

So I don’t mean to pat my self on the back cause I do get a ton of help from here but what the heck gotta share success stories when you can right?
So back in August I went to a new store and saw a little shriveled blasto for like $5 there were 3 heads two were half dead. Me being me said oh it’s cheap if it does no big deal. So fast forward to December all 3 heads came back to life but not thriving. Since using my new water system and protein skimmer (thank you again) this thing has exploded! In one month I went from 3 heads to last count 12 heads! And are so cool looking the pics don’t give them justice they are so bright pink and neon yellow. They are just awesome. Please if you have had any experiences like mine I would love to hear them.

So a little try here I have been interested in this product for a while no idea if it will work and I’m not sure I have heard anyone using one they are called pod hotels? Anyone else try one? I will let you know what happens.
