sump is done now moving wire management and plumbing

how and what did you use to router the edges before welding?? I am struggling wit a 180 tank build as have all the pieces cut now I need to router the edges taking offonly the saw marks and leaving a smooth edge.

Our saw marks were very light we scraped the edges with a razor blade to smooth them. You can also sand them but need to be very careful to keep the edge flat. They also make a scraper specifically for smoothing the edges sold at most plastic supply places.

I got the scraper. Just wanted something a bit more reliable for such a big build. Also. Will be attempting the pin method. When welding

I am also building a new sump. So I might scrap the edges on that and see how it turns out.

We thought about using a planer but never tried it I not some people use a bench jointer and it works really well.

Wow, cool to watch the build progress. Tank looks great in that room. What kind of lights are those? Par38s?

Rapid 12 led with uv par38s I actually bought 6 when they were on sale but 4 seems to be doing the job the cool thing with the track light is I can easily add more if I need to they just snap in.

I have had a few people ask about the lighting. I used a wall box and wired in a outlet then a honeywell timer and a cfl/led wall dimmer I then have that going through the ceiling to my Ikea track lighting. The cords from the par bulb hook into an adapter that just twists into the track it makes it easy to move the lights or add more. The lights are from rapid 12 leds with uv the are great bulbs and I have had exceptional growth in my other tank.
