Hello all! so i have been slowly gathering what i need for my 60 gallon cube build. It has the corner over flow with 1 drain and 1 return. Now i just bought the triton26 v2 sump. Has anyone used this sump? i have a few questions for setup. Looks like the fuge is first then skimmer. fuge has 2 drain lines with socks. My question is if im running a fuge in there wont critters and such get stuck to the socks? Second question is wont haveing the skimmer after the fuge kill alot of my pods and critters that grow in the fuge? third question is on the tank should i turn the return into a emergency overflow and run a return outside the tank? ill post pics here soon of everything.

Im just confused really with this sump. If i dont use the triton method is this sump useless? was on sale so i got it for a steal, but did i get it for a steal for a reason?

Couple pics of tank and sump.

Some yes, but on the flip side they will mostly enter the aquarium, maybe just not return. You don't have to run socks.

Not in my experience. This is one of the typical setups in a sump, though I usually put the fuge in the middle.

If you want to switch to a herbie overflow, this would be required. Thats up to you however. I still use a classic durso :)

Thank you. I've been figuring out ways to hide the return if I do it that way. So much more work. Lol. I think I'll leave it for now and maybe someday in the future I'll switch it.
