~ Fish I'm interested in (The ones marked with a star are most desired. *)
Copperband butterfly*, Flame angel*, Designer Clowns*, Leopard Wrasse*, Green Manderin, Midas blenny*, Blue/Green Chromis, Lemon Butterflyfish, BlueSpot or Peral Jawfish, Shrimp goby, One spot Foxface and Anthias.

~ Fish mix that I really would like...
CBB, Clown, Leopard Wrasse, Flame Angel, Midas blenny and shrimp goby or Manderin
Maybe trade CBB for leomon butterfly take out the clown...

I doubt that mix will work but can you think of one that will? The fish listed are the ones I've been mostly thinking of you can advise ones that aren't on the list. The CBB might be too big for this tank, what do you think?

If you get him really small he might be okay but I recommend not getting any anthias, mandarin dragonet, jawfish, until you tank has cycled after a few months and you have pods for the mandarin

Yeah, I was gonna slowly add over 6 months or so. Would a flame Angel get along with a CBB? I'm new to the bigger fish. Mostly kept nanos until now.

I do feel it's kind of crowed with that many fish....being a 24" cube, there's not much room for them to swim...you might want to add one by one and see how it turns out... I do like the 24" cube...especially rimless....very nice looking tank....

Yeah me too, I have no idea what ima stock it with. Maybe I'll just add one and get corals. Lol

You guys think one CBB alone would be okay?
CBB can be difficult, but if you get one that is eating a single specimen should be just fine in a 60g.

As far as the other stock, a leopard wrasse will outcompete the mandarin for pods in that size tank.

Hmm, okay. I'm always attracted to the more difficult. Might post a progression thread. Idk it's just another 60 gallon cube. Lol

I have a bluespot jawfish and it's got the most personality of any fish I've ever had. I could sit and watch it in my tank all day.

60 gallon is not big enough to house any big fish. You'd be doing the fish a disservice. May want to rethink that and look at the tank requirements for them.

I disagree in this situation. Flame angels are by no means a large fish and do well in tanks even smaller than 60g.

Also, CBB can be difficult in many situations, but if one is dedicating a 60g to one it should be fine. I have one in a 60g in a low competitive setup and it has been thriving for over a year. It is near full adult size and happy and fat.

A disservice by giving a copperband it's own tank and attending to it's feeding needs correctly? Everyone seems to have different opinions on the subject, but keep in mind nothing is set in stone. "Ideas thread". It seems it would be a better home then a 125 gallon with tons of fish out competing the copperband for food and having it starve.

Single fish fine, that would be better yet. I guess I was under the impression it wouldn't be the only fish since there was mention of the others. My misunderstanding.

Hi @eatbreakfast
I know this post is old, but I’m doing some planning for a 60 cube 24x24x24. I love the CBB and would like to dedicate the tank to it and a mandarin. I’m going to set up and cycle and grow pod population and some corals before adding any fish. I will also quarantine fish prior to adding.

How big of a quarantine would be needed for small CBB?

Also how did your CBB do in the 60 cube long term? What other fish did you have with it?
