Hello all, I am setting up a 60 gallon reef tank, I have 2 predator FOWLR tanks now I'm diving into reefs. I was wondering if anyone had any experience running a reef tank without a clean-up crew. I understand the importance of them but quite frankly I don't like the look of snails. I was hoping to just have some live rock, corals of course and some anenomes (in about a year once the tank is mature) and a few designer clownfish. Thanks for any help

I suppose it's possible but not recommended as you will be doing quite a bit more work scrubbing algae. A Lawnmower Blenny or Stary Blenny might work for algae control in that size of tank but it will only do so much.

I don't use any snails in my tank... I do have to scrub the glass a lot.

By the way, more than 1 pair of clowns usually ends in war.
