I just got into the saltwater world. I set up a 60 gallon saltwater tank with a 90 gallon per min hang on the back filter and a hang on the back protein skimmer. After waiting 6 weeks my tank has finally finished cycling. I have around 30 to 45 pounds of live rock. I am also using a mix of live sand and crushed sea shells. My live stock includes 3 damsels, 1 spiney box puffer, 2 snails and 4 crabs. I just recently installed a aquatic life T5 HO 4ft LED light that I love currently my light cycle is 4 hours of complete day time with 1 hour before and after for a sunrise and sunset. The rest is night time LEDs with 2 hours of complete darkness. I am having a major out break of brown algae. What can I do to prevent this or take care of the issue? I rinse my filters 1 to 2 times a week and replace them each month. I have only done 1 water change and it was only around 10-15%. Am I doing anything wrong or what can I do better? I need all the help and tips I can get as I am super new. Anything will help!

The brown algae at this stage is pretty unavoidable. It should go away on its own once the silicates are used up. What filters are you rinsing? Now that your tank has cycled, I would get on a regular water change schedule whether it be once a week or once a month (dependent upon your water tests).
