60g Cube Rimless Build with Floating Aquascape

Overflow shot

i think to accomplish this floating aqua scape is to drilled two holes in overflow box and insert the acrylic rods through it.

Exactly what will happen.... The rods will rest underneath either sides of the return pipe "t"

Should be pretty much done today.... Plumbing into main system..... Got a 24" t5/250w combo fixture inbound..... It will be all sps, maybe bare bottom

That is going to be so cool! I can't wait to see it filled!!! The support with the T in the plumbing is pretty ingenious.

Great job man! Looks amazing and I can only imagine what you'll make it look like with some sticks

are you worry about the weight of the rock putting too much stress on the overflow box. i was thinking of doing this to my 144 gallons half circle.

Nope, not at all.... there is only a small amount of weight pushing down, not pulling. The rock isn't heavy, about 5.5 lbs total

Water in.... Plumbed up.... Light arriving tomorrow and coral will be in....

Looking forward to seeing it with the coral in it! Are you going to be placing coral on the bottom of the tank also or just on the rock?

Going to do sps only on rock and only chalice or encrusting monti on bottom to let run wild.... Starboard will be going on the bottom

Nice work! Well done on securing the acrylic rods through the overflow box. I've been considering something like this for my yet to be acquired system. What did you use, in case I missed it, to secure the acrylic rods to the rock?

That will look pretty sweet! What is starboard, I'm not familiar with it, is it like eggcrate?

Love the picture!!!
