Hey all,
Starting a 24x24x24 cube and the setup I purchased came with an older mp40 that is very loud. I'm looking at purchasing new powerheads or wavemaker as the setup has a reading bench next to it and we want it as quiet as possible. The reef will be LPS based with just a dusting...1/2" or so of sand at the bottom. The tank sits in a corner so the back and left side are not viewed and have black vinyl applied. I would like to run pump/pumps off the back wall or back wall and left wall leaving the front and right panels empty and for viewing only. What are the best options or a more erratic flow pattern to help keep the detritus suspended. I can get a great deal on a pair of nero 3's or should I go in a different direction ? I'm looking to keep budget around 300$ as thats the cost of the 2 nero's.

How do you have them positioned in the tank and what settings ? Do you have a full tank shot ?

Position is pretty much halfway down on both sides. I'll get a full tank shot in a few.

Oh no, none at all. They are magnetic and the magnets pretty strong.

I would love to see yalls pictures. I’ve got a 60cube with one Nero 3. Just ordered a second one so I’m deciding on placement as well! Sorry I know this is a little late!

I have an Ecotech MP40 and an MP10 on my 24 inch cube.
