This morning I did that thing so many of us dream about. I clicked "Check Out" on my shopping cart for a popular E-commerce site. Granted I moved a few things to the "Save for later" folder first but it was exhilarating none the less. What's better, I had just left the bank after depositing cash from selling some of the unused crap that was taking up space in the garage. My cart dump would have zero impact on our strictly enforced budget and had the requisite "wife approval".
I actually started this build back in March. and have very slowly been making progress in the back ground of checking things off the To-Do list that stood in the way of putting my attention towards the hobby. To this point i have the frame for my stand built and stress tested. I have the Tank for my sump purchased and most of my plumbing components on hand. As of this morning The baffle kit for my sump, and RODI system with booster pump, and dry rock/ sand are on the way.
I have waited patiently 7 years at this point to step back into this hobby. This is not a world where you can cut corners or rush things and have great success so I have no problem moving slowly since I don't have the budget to spend my way in. Dad life may get in the way some times but I has taught me the patience which will be invaluable for this new endeavor
