Hi, i was planning a 125g for a while, but my family decided a smaller tank would be better. We decided on a 65g. we will get the red sea 65g with their skimmer, top off system, stand, powerheads, and sump. Any good filters and heaters you guys know-and-or-use?

Also would any reef safe tangs and butterflyfish fit in the 65g?

Also a foxface would be fine in it right?

Thanks

RSR 300XL?

Put the Copperband band in first and make sure he’s eating well at LFS before buying. Number of tangs will work but will pretty quickly out grow tank (year or 2 depending how small you get them.). Foxface is a great fish. Here’s a pic of my Orange Shoulder Tang (great community fish). Will have to sell him in 6 months to year as he out grows my RSR425XL (90g).

It would be a fair size heater. I would go with 300 watt though. If you can find one that fits the sump anyway.

If your talking about the reefer 250 then i wouldn't get any tang as the tank length is only 35.5" inches i think.

You should really get 3 heaters and a controller. 2 for the tank, primary and secondary. Last heater for water changes.

koles only get about 6 inches. If you get it young it could work for a while. Two smaller heaters would work yes
